Cleveland Weekend TripJoin The Arts Council in Buffalo & Erie County for Two Days of Fun and Frolic! ![]() Join the Arts Council in Buffalo & Erie County May 31st and June 1st on a weekend trip to Cleveland to enjoy a few of that city's best known and most enjoyable events and activities. Departing at 7 am Saturday morning, we travel by luxury coach to one of the major cultural centers in the U.S. and check into the Hilton Gateway a venue with a full array of personal amenities for hotel guests. The Cleveland Museum of Science that is showing an extraordinary display of original warrior wear from the days of the Knights of the Roundtable in King Arthur's Court to our modern military man in a major installation called "Arm and Armory." ![]() The Cleveland Botanical Gardens is the next stop, only steps away from the 9th Annual Fine Arts Expo where you can enjoy ten acres of magnificent garden displays including: "Zensai" the horticulture of Japan, and the Elizabeth Armstong Smith Glasshouse, a soaring 18,000 sq. ft conservatory that houses exceptional floral and plant life including recreations of two of the earth's most fragile ecosystems, the spiny desert of Madagascar and Costa Rica's Cloud Forest! ![]() After all that fun, it's time for more fun as we head to the Pickwick and Frolic Entertainment Complex for dinner and a show. Renowned for their dinner buffet and comedy acts, that evening John Joseph, one the hottest stand-up comedians takes the stage. His credits include touring with Kenny Rogers and Leanne Rimes as well as appearances with Barbara Walters and the Rosie O'Donnell show. Guests are also free to just enjoy a splendid dinner buffet and then retire for the evening if comedy is not your thing or feel free to enjoy any other entertainment in the city that you may prefer. And that's just Saturday! ![]() & ![]() Sunday we rise and shine and chase away any blues by heading to the House of Blues for their Full Gospel Brunch – an array of fine food and fine gospel music performed by one of Cleveland's many fine gospel choirs setting the mood for our visit to the one and only Rock and Roll Hall of Fame! You have the entire afternoon to tour this exceptional repository of the world's greatest contemporary music from early Blues to Rhythm and Blues and Rock and Roll – you'll see photos, costumes, videos, awards, instruments, you name it, all once owned by the legends and giants of the modern music industry. Folks, this is going to be a good time – everything is included for the weekend for only $250 ($230 for Arts Council members) – you can't beat it! Installment plan is available.
